Pooch PDF ("the Extension") is a Chrome extension that converts web pages into PDFs. Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what data the Extension accesses, how it's used, and what is stored.
When you click one of the Extension's actions (Quick PDF, Clean PDF, or Save to Drive), the Extension reads the content of the currently active tab to extract the article text, images, and metadata (title, author, publication date). This happens entirely in your browser.
drive.file scope). If you use the "Save to Drive" feature, the Extension uses the Chrome Identity API to request access to your Google Drive with the drive.file scope. This is the most restricted scope available — it only allows the Extension to create new files and access files it previously created. The Extension cannot see, modify, or delete any other files in your Drive.
Your Google OAuth token is managed by Chrome and never leaves your browser. The Extension does not have a backend server that stores your tokens.
If you are a Pro user and use the share link feature, the Extension sends the following metadata to our Cloudflare Worker service (share.poochpdf.com):
This metadata is stored in Cloudflare KV to serve the share page with Open Graph previews. No article content or PDF files are stored on our servers.
Pro subscriptions are processed by ExtensionPay (powered by Stripe). We do not see or store your payment details. ExtensionPay's privacy policy applies to payment processing.
The Extension stores your preferences (paper size, filename template, etc.) and usage counters (Drive saves per month) in Chrome's local storage. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted anywhere.
The Extension does not include any analytics, tracking, or telemetry.
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
